**Internet too slow to post pics right now. If you check back tonight, I'll have some photos for you as a reward for actually reading this whole post! :)
Another busy day yesterday. But, right now I'm chilling on a train to Mystic and THAT is super relaxing. I hope to take a quick nap as soon as I finish this. Here's the lowdown on our last day in NYC:
That took longer than we thought (since we had only planned on being there until 10), so by the time we finished our lunch at Junior's, changed into cooler clothes and got to the Central Park bike riding place it was 2. Now, it was probably 90 degrees out yesterday and we had this stupid Travelzoo deal to do this bike ride and it was too busy on Monday to do it, so this was our last chance. So, we go get the bikes. THEN, we had to walk the bikes 6 blocks through all kinds of people to even GET to Central Park. THEN, when we got to the park you couldn't ride on the paths through the park and we weren't riding fast enough to ride in the fancy bike lane so we were riding them on the pedestrian paths on the outskirts of the park. After 20 minutes we were out of that park and walking those stupid bikes back to their home. Awful. And the people at the shop weren't at all helpful in telling us where to go in the park and they didn't adjust our bikes before we started. Mom fell over trying to not run in to people. I tried to stop to get a stupid picture and I propped my bike up and then it fell over dumping all the contents of the basket onto the sidewalk. Terrible. I almost lost it. Or maybe I did. Whatever. I was hot, sweaty and mad that this stupid bike riding thing didn't work out. Don't rent bikes from Central Park Sightseeing at W. 56th St. Bad news bears.
After that terrible adventure we still needed to go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art as it was the last pre-paid item. We probably tried to do too many things in 2 days, but I wasn't going to leave w/o at least stepping foot in that museum! We take the subway to the west side of Central Park and stroll across to the museum. By the time we make it there (4PM) mom looks like she might pass out. I asked multiple times if we needed to stop or if we should just go home. She was in a daze and super sweaty. I think we made it into the A/C just in time. I felt bad leaving her in the lobby, but I decided to go see as much as I could in 1 hour and meet back up with her in the lobby. It turns out she spent 30 minutes cooling off and sitting down and then saw some European paintings and I did the entire modern art collection. After we met back up (mom looked 100% better!), I took her over to the modern art section because she wanted to see some Picasso. The museum closed at 5:30. We took the bus home. Then, we got to rest for 1.5 hours. It was amazing! Oh and we had a 100 calorie snack pack and a Subway cookie for "dinner."
Mary Poppins at 8. Box seats! It was fantastic. The special effects were great and Mary flew right by our box. Great show for a great price (another Travelzoo deal). After MP, we were hungry and we had these free drink coupons for the Irish Pub (The Long Room) next to our hotel. So, we went in there and ordered some Tandoori chicken skewers. Delicious!!! I had a glass of wine and then we ordered a Key Lime Martini. It was AMAZING! The perfect drink. Coconut rum, vanilla vodka, lime juice, and a splash of sour mix. Mom even had some sips and liked it. I wouldn't let her have too many sips because she's not supposed to be drinking alcohol w/ her new medication. I promise I'm taking care of her. :) If she could have, I think she would have drank the whole thing!! We also ordered this dessert, chocolate madness. Freaking delicious!! Perfect way to end our evening in NYC.

You definitely sound like you packed it in! Glad it all worked out. Miss you! Will pet Reese and give her your love.
Wow BUSY two days!! Sounds like you hit most of the main attractions so it was worthwhile. And Kelly Ripa works out 6-7 days a week for *hours* with a personal trainer that costs millions to get that body. Normal people don't have the time to look like that ... you have to make it your job.
